Spineshank Now Plotting 2026 Release For New Music

Back in April of this year Spineshank vocalist Jonny Santos revealed the band had wrapped up their comeback single. However, with their reunion tour now in full swing, that song has yet to emerge from the group. Original plans had that track arriving in May/June, however, as we now collectively chug along into September, there’s been no sign of it.

In a new interview conducted with Discoveringbands By Michael Nagy, it would seem that those release plans have changed substantially. According to drummer Tommy Decker, the current plan is to have their first new music since 2012 now arriving in 2026. Decker stated of the matter:

“There’s some stuff [in the works]. There’s some stuff. It might be a little while [before it’s released]. We’ve gotta get this guy and this guy on it, so Tommy Junior and Hager, the new additions to the band. So we got a few songs. We’ll see what happens. [It will arrive] probably sometime next year.”

When asked where the songs are heading, Santos replied:

“It’s more Spineshank. We like to have the heaviness. We like to have the melody. Everyone wants the electronics. So it’s just Spineshank 13 years later. It’s always gonna be heavy. It’s always gonna be a nice hook and there’s always gonna be electronics. So it’s who we are.”

Spineshank have been out celebrating 25 years of their sophomore album “The Height Of Callousness” on the road this year, with touring continuing on across the coming months.
