Gold-certified hard rockers Alter Bridge will headline their inaugural ‘Blackbird Festival‘ at Cardiff Castle in Cardiff, UK on June 27th, 2026. That fledgling new festival venture will thus far feature support spots from Skindred, Florence Black and Cardinal Black.
Further opening artists remain pending. Pre-sales will be launching next Tuesday, August 19th through depotlive.co.uk/blackbirdfestival2026. at 09:30am local time. The general onsale has been scheduled for next Friday, August 22nd at 09:30am. Vocalist Myles Kennedy said of the plans to launch this fest in Wales:
“We realized we haven’t played Wales in over 7 years. To make up for lost time, we thought it would be cool to do something extra special. So with that said, we are stoked to announce The Blackbird Festival. Not only does this commemorate twenty-plus years of being a band, but it’s also a way to show our appreciation for the fans in Wales who’ve patiently waited for our return.”
Alter Bridge‘s self-titled new eighth studio album is headed for a January 09th release on Napalm Records.
