Multi-platinum nü-metal/alternative metal band Disturbed have paid further tribute to the late heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne and the mighty Black Sabbath. That new tribute took place during a live performance this past Tuesday, August 05th at the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, SD as part of the ‘Sturgis Bike Rally‘. During that set, Disturbed launched into their rendition of the final song Sabbath and Ozzy played together, their 4x multi-platinum hit, “Paranoid“. That cover was of course dedicated to Ozzy.
Disturbed vocalist David Draiman was one of the featured guest vocalists at last month’s ‘Back To Beginning‘ sendoff concert for the aforementioned heavy metal architects. While Draiman‘s presence at that celebratory event wasn’t without controversy, he fronted an all-star collective of musicians for renditions of Osbourne‘s “Shot In The Dark” and Sabbath‘s ode to cannabis, “Sweet Leaf“.
