Armored Saint vocalist John Bush will be celebrating his decade-long run fronting Anthrax late this fall. A trio of shows will find him revisiting the songs from “Sound Of White Noise“, “Stomp 442“, “Volume 8: The Threat Is Real” and “We’ve Come For You All“. His bandmates in the supergroup Category 7 will be backing him during those sets. Bush won’t be the only alumni of the East Coast thrash metal greats to take part in those shows, as former Anthrax bassist Joey Vera (Armored Saint, etc.) will also be in the mix.
12/13 Los Angeles, CA – Whisky A Go Go
12/18 St. Charles, IL – Arcada Theatre
12/20 New York City, NY – Racket
Bush said of knocking this task off his bucket list:
“I’ve talked about doing this for a long time — and now, I’m finally doing it. Fans constantly tell me how much those records meant to them, and how they miss hearing those songs live. It’s very humbling. The wait is over.”
Category 7‘s Phil Demmel (ex-Machine Head, etc.), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob, etc.) and Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, etc.) will be backing Bush on that run. Bassist Jack Gibson (Exodus) has a scheduling conflict, with Vera stepping in. Tickets for this run went onsale this morning, August 01st.
