Eccentric alternative metal trio Primus had a special cover of Black Sabbath‘s “N.I.B.” in store for fans during their set at the Saenger Performing Arts Theater in New Orleans, LA this past Monday, July 28th. That tribute to the late, great Ozzy Osbourne has direct ties to the Prince Of Darkness.
Back in 2000, Primus released their take on that track, complete with vocals provided by Ozzy himself, as part of the “Nativity In Black II: A Tribute To Black Sabbath” tribute compilation. With Ozzy having sadly departed us last week, Puddles Pity Party subbed in for this first performance of the song by Primus since 2000.
Puddles Pity Party and Primus have teamed up numerous times onstage in the past, including last year’s cover of another track with some ties to Black Sabbath: Dio‘s “Holy Diver“.
