The word of yesterday’s (July 22nd) passing of heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne has reverberated far and wide, with artists and entertainers across the globe all publicly mourning the passing of the multi-time Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer.
In an unexpected development, Black Sabbath‘s 1972 ballad “Changes” even made it into Coldplay‘s set in Nashville, TN last night, July 22nd, marking the first time the the diamond-certified pop rockers had performed it. Vocalist Chris Martin performed that rendition solo on piano, while also dedicating their show to Osbourne, prefacing the song with the following:
“We’d like to dedicate this whole show to the incredible genius, talent and characterful gift to the world who was Ozzy Osbourne. We send our love to his family.”
