Multi-platinum industrial rockers Filter have been forced to withdraw from their planned summer touring with Jerry Cantrell due to a medical issue being suffered by the band’s mastermind Richard Patrick. The group had previously mounted a run with the aforementioned grunge legend earlier this year. While this trek was meant to serve as a continuation of that trek, an unexpectedly prolonged recovery has thrown a wrench in the mix. A statement issued by the band today (July 22nd) regarding that can be seen below:
“Unfortunately, Filter will not be heading out on the road with Jerry Cantrell next month as previously planned. Following medical advice, Richard Patrick has been advised to not tour at this time. He had disc replacement surgery and recovery has been slower than expected. We hope to see you on tour soon!”
Thus far a replacement for Filter has yet to be announced.
