Muse closed out the second date (June 20th) of this year’s ‘Hellfest Open Air‘ in Clisson, France and paid tribute to some national heroes during their time on stage. The aforementioned multi-platinum alternative rockers played some of Gojira‘s “Standed” (as well as some of Nirvana‘s “Heart-Shaped Box“) during their performance of their own track “We Are Fucking Fucked“.
That wasn’t the only heavier embellishment found in the band’s set, with nods to Rage Against The Machine‘s “Township Rebellion” (“Stockholm Syndrome“) and “Calm Like A Bomb” (“New Born“) making it into the set, as well as Slipknot‘s “Duality” emerging in “Kill Or Be Killed“.
