Queens Of The Stone Age took to the stage last night, June 10th, at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, MA to play their first live show in just under a year. Last July, the gold-certified alternative rockers were forced to scrap their 2024 touring plans in light of an undisclosed medical emergency requiring surgery suffered by their vocalist/guitarist Josh Homme.
After several months of recovery, Homme would later return to the stage in December for a tribute to the late Mark Lanegan. The setlist for last night’s comeback show saw some songs pulled out of the archives, most notably with 2007’s “Suture Up Your Future” getting its first live performance since 2008. “Keep Your Eyes Peeled” and “A Song For The Deaf” also got their first playthroughs since 2018.
