letlive.‘s penultimate release, 2013’s “The Blackest Beautiful” will be receiving a newly re-mixed and remastered version this coming Friday, June 13th. That edition has been dubbed “The Blackest Beautiful Revisited“, and in addition to the sonic overhaul, also features two reimagined tracks.
The first of those to be released, “The Dope Beat Rendition“, reworks “The Dope Beat” with Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years on guest vocals. Keith Buckley of Many Eyes/ex-Every Time I Die also appears on the record, guesting on a reworked version of the song “27 Club“.
Guitarist Jeff Sahyoun commented of this cleaned up version of the record:
“It’s surreal hearing ‘The Blackest Beautiful‘ remastered after all these years. This record meant everything to us, and now it gets to live again in a new light. I couldn’t be more excited to share it with everyone.”
His bandmate, guitarist Jean Nascimento, added:
“‘The Blackest Beautiful‘ is a lighthouse for those who feel lost in this mad world. It’s an honor for us to give our fans a chance to listen and have a new perspective on this album, one more time.”
