VIMIC will be staging a reunion show at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles on October 03rd to celebrate their late bandmate Joey Jordison. The aforementioned former Slipknot drummer passed away back in 2021, with his family and his bandmates in VIMIC recently opting to move ahead with this crowdfunding campaign to release the band’s long-shelved debut album “Open Your Omen“.
Four singles from that record emerged before plans for it got put on the backburner, first in part due to the passing of co-producer Kato Khandwala in a motorcycle accident, and later with the eventual death of Jordison.
Proceeds from the upcoming concert will go towards the Joey Jordison Charitable Fund, which will be partnering with the non-profit Broken Strings in Jordison‘s native Iowa. That fund hopes to continue honoring Jordison‘s legacy by giving drums to deserving kids in school districts.
Jordison‘s Murderdolls bandmate Wednesday 13 will open this upcoming live celebration, with as-yet undisclosed special guests also being lined up. Tickets for the concert will be going on sale this coming Friday, June 06th.
