Stray From The Path have let some fans experience their new full-length album ahead of schedule. Vinyl copies of that outing, “Clockworked“, began showing up for sale at this past week’s ‘Slam Dunk‘ festival stops in the UK, which the band performed at. Two songs from that outing, the previously released “Kubrick Stare“ and the as-yet unavailable “Shot Caller” (see past live footage of it below) both made it into the rap metalcore band’s setlists during those performances.
This new effort is expected out this Friday, May 30th, via SharpTone Records, and was recorded with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Body Count). Per an early product listing and the copies that have made it into the hands of the public thus far, “Clockworked” will sport a pair of cameos. Among them are Poison The Well frontman Jeffrey Moreira on “Bodies In The Dark” and LANDMVRKS vocalist Florent Salfati on the album’s title track.
Outside of the vinyl copies making their way out into the world, Stray From The Path also appear to have partaken in some more traditional forms of marketing as well, as seen on social media recently by their peers in fellow Long Island, NY-based band This Is Hell. That ad reworks a famous quote made by the late comedian Bill Hicks
