Pupil Slicer have now dropped a single take video for “Black Scrawl“, one of their two newly debuted tracks that landed online together earlier this month. A video for “Heather was shared alongside the songs’ initial debut. Speaking of this new visual component and the track itself, the British mathcore band’s vocalist/guitarist Kate Davies offered
“‘Black Scrawl‘ is the more technical of the two new songs we’ve just released. In the video we’ve opted for a single take video to showcase the individual musicianship of the song that comes together to make this pummelling in your face track. It’s raw and ferocious from the get go and aims to get people moving. We hope you enjoy it!”
We can’t wait to hit the road on this weekender that aligns with the release of our double single ‘Heather‘ / ‘Black Scrawl‘, which is the first taste of music in this new era of Pupil Slicer. Alongside the new single we also have a few more new songs we’re playing that fans will be hearing for the first time.
The new music is our most direct and heavy to date, so we expect people to move around and get a little crazy for them. We’re also going to be joined by the amazing Tayne‘s, another great up and coming band we’re really fond of. The show’s are going to be heavy from start to finish and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!”
The band’s live plans at the moment will unfold as follows:
With Tayne:
05/15 Milton Keynes, UK – Craufurd Arms
05/16 Huddersfield, UK – Parish Dive Bar
05/17 Cardiff, UK – Clwb Ifor Bach
With LLNN (performing “Unmaker“):
11/25 Bristol, UK – The Exchange
11/26 Nottingham, UK – The Bodega
11/27 Manchester, UK – Rebellion
11/28 Glasgow, UK – Slay
11/29 Leeds, UK – Brudenell Social Club
11/30 London, UK – The Underworld
There’s no word yet on an exact release date for Pupil Slicer‘s third studio album, but recording sessions for it appear to have taken place earlier this year.
