Aussie psych rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard‘s “Grow Wings And Fly” video was shared online this morning. The song is taken from the band’s forthcoming orchestral album “Phantom Island“. That effort — their 27th overall — was recorded in tandem with latest full-length “Flight b741“, before later being revised with orchestral arrangements. “Phantom Island” will meet a June 13th release via (P)doom Records.
Hayden Somerville directed this new visual offering for the group and had the following to say about it:
“There are so many strange and beautiful ways to grow wings and fly. We had a very special time down the coast with the band and our crew, releasing our sea creature — who somehow makes me feel a little ill and completely full of joy at the same time.”
