A lyric video for the newly remastered version of Metallica‘s “Hero Of The Day” has just went up online. This sonically updated version of the song comes from the upcoming remastered box set of the thrash metal kings’ divisive 1996 album “Load“. Reuben Cohen took on remastering the tracks on that effort, with frequent Metallica producer Greg Fidelman overseeing the process.
Mirroring the original “Load” album cycle, this track is the second remastered cut to be shared from the album, following last week’s reveal of the similarly aurally revised “Until It Sleeps“. The above-mentioned vastly expanded version of “Load“ clocks in at a whopping 301 songs, 245 of which are previously unreleased. You can expect to find it in stores and on streaming services on June 13th.
