A couple chose the unconventional venue of a Cannibal Corpse mosh pit to get married this week. Those nuptials took place this past Tuesday, April 22nd, during the aforementioned Floridian death metal legends’ set at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA. The new bride, Erica Lynn commented on Facebook afterwards:

“Well we did it! Last night during the @cannibalcorpseofficial show in Pittsburgh we said our “I dos” in the mosh pit!

A huge thank you to everyone knowingly and unknowingly helping to make this happen! There is no community more united than the metal community!! The amount of support and love was amazing! Thank you to Barry Mull for introducing us to Webster! Thank you to Webster and every other metal head I could find for signing our marriage Certificate!! Thank you to @hillenkp for being the protector of the marriage certificate, @byoungokr for being the ring bearer and to @docshow73 for being the officiant of Corrupted Nuptials!! This could not have been more perfect! Much love to you all!”

The non-traditional wedding ceremony took place during the band’s performance of the track “Unleashing The Bloodthirsty“, with footage available below. That 1999 song was the intended soundtrack for the exchange of vows, as the then bride-to-be said hours before the big moment:

“Today’s the day we say “I do” in the presence of our lord and savior, George Corpsegrinder
If youre in the North Shore area stop in at Shortys! Well be there 4-6
If you’re at the concert come down to the Pit during Unleashing the Bloodthirsty!”
