Grind legends Napalm Death took to performing a largely instrumental set at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ earlier this week. Vocalist Mark “Barney” Greenway had taken ill ahead of the band’s scheduled April 14th concert at the above-mentioned venue, leading to the unexpectedly scaled down set.
Speaking yesterday, April 15th on the matter, Greenway stated of his health:
“Hello everybody, sincere apologies to whoever came to the Tucson gig last night. I contracted some mystery gut thing on the morning, and was in enough discomfort to stop me from being able to do even a couple of lines of vocals last night. It never feels great to be missing gigs, but the other guys gave it more than a good go as usual. Sorry again. Lots of love.”
The band have since clarified that Greenway is back up to snuff with their current co-headlining tour with Melvins and various openers continuing on as follows.
