Hacktivist Return With New Lineup And A New Music Video

British rap-metallers Hacktivist have announced their overhauled lineup, after revealing a mass exodus of members earlier in the week. The group have newly welcomed guitarist Alex Hek (ex-October Ends) and drummer Stee Cole to their roster. Their additions follow the departures of guitarist James Hewitt, bassist Josh Gurner and drummer Richard Hawking.

The song “Bones” is the first single to receive a release from the reconfigured outfit and it features production from Sam Kubrick and George Lever. A music video for this new cut was co-directed by the band’s co-vocalist JJ Olifent alongside Shaun Hodson. Speaking of this new song, the band shared:

“‘Bones‘ is more than just a track—it’s a statement. A blistering call-out to the industry snakes who exploit the hard work of bands for their own gain. Hacktivist is taking the DIY route, reclaiming our music, our message, and our future. This is the new Hacktivist, and we’re here to stay.”

The song also reflects the challenges the band has faced in recent months. But instead of engaging in online drama, we deliver truth through raw, unfiltered creativity. This is our response. This is ‘Bones‘.”

You can catch this new lineup out at the following shows:
