The murderous stars of Rob Zombie‘s ‘Firefly’ trilogy are featured in a gory new children’s styled spelling book dubbed ‘Z Is For Zombie: Learning To Spell With House Of 1000 Corpses Friends‘. Lead characters from Zombie‘s horror films ‘House Of 1000 Corpses‘, “The Devil’s Rejects‘ and ‘3 From Hell‘ are illustrated by Pete Bregman throughout this book, which seemingly spoofs the Little Golden Books series of children’s reading. As you’d expect given the source material, the featured spelling lessons cite examples rife with a gruesome horror theme.
That Zombie-penned book is available through Amazon and readneckbolt.com. Apparently, the grim nature of the illustrations and lessons has also caused a stir, as the British tabloid Daily Mail have made note of some uproar circulating online. Zombie himself responded to that article on his Instagram today, March 14th, stating, “Now this is hilarious! We are just trying to teach the children some good book learning.”
