Industrialized nü-metal band Amerakin Overdose have premiered a music video for their cover of Christina Aguilera‘s 3x platinum hit 1999 single “Genie In A Bottle“. Bausik Film Co. directed the video for that clip, while Spineshank/Silent Civilian frontman Jonny Santos co-produced the song. This rendition is one of several pairings Santos has on deck with the band. Speaking of his relationship with them, he offered:
“I’ve known Cody [Perez, Amerakin Overdose vocalist] for quite sometime now, and am very familiar with AOD because I’ve been living in Portland for fifteen years. I’ve always loved their imagery and unapologetic nature. I believe rock n roll is meant to be dangerous, and so do they. The one thing that grabbed me the most though, is their work ethic as a band. These guys are one of the hardest working bands I’ve seen in a long time, and that goes a long way with me.
I’m hoping to help shape them into the best version of themselves, and am enjoying working with them. I think their fans, and fans to come, will really like the end result of our collaboration.”
