A new EP from Melvins by the name of “Thunderball” will be out on April 18th. Just in from that 5-song affair is the track “Victory Of The Pyramids“. This effort serves as the third venture from the sludge metal band’s ‘Melvins 1983‘ incarnation, with drummer Mike Dillard back behind the kit. Keeping up the tradition of their prolific nature, word of this EP follows Melvins‘  new collaborative effort with Napalm Death.

Vocalist/guitarist Buz “King Buzzo” Osborne stated of this upcoming outing:

“‘Thunderball‘ is the third Melvins 1983 record we’ve made together, and I wanted it to be bombastic – I think we achieved that. I also wanted to do something with electronic artists Void Manes and Ni Maîtres for a long time. Both of them are exceptional talents. Their out-of-the-box use of electronics pushed ‘Thunderball‘ beyond my expectations.”

Recording sessions for this outing once again took place under Toshi Kasai, with pre-orders available now through themelvins.lnk.to/Thunderball.
