A new limited edition 30th anniversary vinyl pressing of Mad Season‘s gold-certified 1995 debut album “Above” will be arriving on March 14th through Artist Friendly Media Co.. That short-lived band united a variety of stars of the grunge music scene, including the late Layne Staley of Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready, the late Mark Lanegan, and his former Screaming Trees bandmate Barrett Martin, as well as John Baker Saunders.
This limited edition colored vinyl pressing has newly been remastered for and features the five bonus songs previously issued on the 2013 deluxe edition of the album. New liner notes have also been provided by Mike McCready and Martin. McCready himself also commented on this reissue, offering:
“Playing with Baker, Barrett, Layne, and Mark was a privilege I will always cherish. As Above is re-released, I hope you enjoy it. I remain grateful for the opportunity to share that time, that music, and those memories with all of you.”
