Further disturbing footage involving As I Lay Dying, etc. vocalist Tim Lambesis has newly surfaced online, this time featuring apparent animal abuse. In this latest leaked video, Lambesis can be seen getting physically abusive towards a dog ahead of letting it outside on two separate occasions. This clip follows a flurry of disturbing private videos involving Lambesis emerging late last November.
After an exodus of members last fall, Lambesis was left as the only member of the long-running metalcore outfit. As it so happened, this all unfolded weeks ahead of a planned tour and the November 15th release date of the group’s latest album, “Through Storms Ahead“.
Several exit statements from the outgoing members indicated their morals being pushed to their limits, and their integrity being tested during their time within the band. Lambesis himself would vaguely address the matter in early November, vowing to once again rebuild the group for a second time since they returned back in 2017.
Lambesis‘ statement left more questions than answers however and in late November, footage of him and his then wife Dany Lambesis began anonymously emerging online. Seemingly captured from home security cameras around their property, the footage found the aforementioned couple in heated exchanges, several of which found Tim in a highly agitated mental state, repeatedly hitting himself, shouting and pacing.
Shortly after that footage began emerging, Tim issued a statement in which he clamed he had filed for divorce against Dany a day prior to the footage being leaked. He further went on to claim that Dany had physically and mentally abused him for a period of three years, while also indicating that he had filed for a restraining order against Dany and that he was also in the process of filing various ‘evidence’ he claimed to have collected of said alleged abuse with authorities as part of a domestic violence investigation.
In that statement, Tim also indicated that his erratic behavior in the leaked footage was the result of “anxiety filled reactions and defenses.” For her part, in late October, as speculation began surfacing amid the initial departures of the most recent lineup of As I Lay Dying, Dany refuted allegations of Tim abusing her.
Since the public blowout last November, things have remained relatively quiet on the Lambesis front until this past Wednesday, January 15th, when Tim gave his first interview since the aforementioned footage leaked.
In that interview, Tim addressed past traumas associated with his time in prison, after having been caught trying to engage in a murder-for-hire plot involving his wife at the time back in 2013. Tim went on to serve several years in prison after pleading guilty and was ultimately paroled.
The aforementioned newly shared interview also found him addressing the departure of his bandmates, while also opening up about various mental health struggles that he claims to have been struggling with since his arrest.
