The Cavalera brothers of Max and Iggor will be back out celebrating their Sepultura legacy on the road in early 2025. Recent years have seen the siblings re-record “Morbid Visions” “Bestial Devastation” and “Schizophrenia” from their former outfit, Brazilian thrash metal legends Sepultura. Those re-recordings were conducted under their Cavalera banner, with the duo having since named that trio of sonically overhauled albums their ‘Third World Trilogy’.
This newly announced tour will once again find them out performing material from those albums with Max‘s son Igor Amadeus Cavalera on bass and Travis Stone on guitar. Support on this run will come from death metallers Necrot and crossover outfit Dead Heat on most dates. Pre-sales will be up tomorrow, December 17th at 10:00am local time (password: ‘RESTINPAIN’.) The general onsale will launch this Friday, December 20th at 10:00am local time.
Max commented, “We are really excited to bring the ‘Third World Trilogy’, featuring ‘Schizophrenia‘, to the U.S.! If you want to hear fast riffs, pummeling drums, thunderous bass, and schizophrenic leads, jump in our pit!!”
Iggor added, “I’m super excited about this upcoming us tour, is one of those rare chances to see our first releases on our most purest form performed live. I hope to see you all in the pit!!! Don’t sleep on these dates. You have been warned.”
As a somewhat interesting note, the tour’s opening date will be held at the Queen B Vinyl Cafe in Cottonwood, AZ, the new venue, etc. launched recently by Tool, etc. vocalist Maynard James Keenan & his wife.
