Last night (December 14th) saw Floridian metalcore outfit Underoath bring out their former vocalist Dallas Taylor to join them during the encore portion of their set celebrating 20 years of their gold-certified fourth studio album, “They’re Only Chasing Safety“. That concert was the second of three back-to-back shows the group have booked at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, FL, with the final show set to take place tonight, December 15th.
Taylor was a co-founding member of the group, performing with them from 1997 through to 2003. He would later go on to front Southern metalcore outfit Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster. Taylor‘s live return last night found him assisting on vocals on “When The Sun Sleeps“, the opening track to his final album with the group, 2002’s “The Changing Of Times“. Fan-filmed footage of this live reunion can be seen below:
This was incredibly special. Bandmates for a time. Friends for life. Having Dallas join us on stage for When the Sun Sleeps was wild. Life is crazy. Thankful for this.
