British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have shared a new video paying tribute to their drummer Nicko McBrain, who played his final live shows with the group this past weekend. This past Saturday, December 07th, the 72-year-old McBrain announced he would no longer be performing live with the group, though he will remain a member of the outfit. McBrain himself suffered a mini-stroke in January of 2023 and also overcame a 2021 battle with Laryngeal Cancer.
His final show with the band as their active drummer took place on the 7th at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil, where this new video tribute was filmed. Taking his place behind the kit going forward will be Simon Dawson of British Lion fame.
