British industrial rockers Pitchshifter‘s early 90s Peel Sessions have received a new release on vinyl & CD. Those sessions took place for John Peel‘s BBC Radio 1 program, having been recorded across two separate sessions at Maida Vale.
The first of those sessions was tracked on April 28th, 1991, while the second took place on March 30th, 1993. Cold Spring have put out this newly remastered pressing, with the band planning to revisit the set in their own way as well. Vocalist/programmer Jon “JS” Clayden commented:
“If you look on your Pitchshifter albums you will see that we always credit John Peel. He was instrumental in getting the band out there and often played our music on the radio when no one else dared. The ‘Peel Sessions‘ we did were a great honour and every time I met John he was always such a great guy… a legend.”
