Alternative rockers CKY have been removed from their planned Australian/New Zealand tour with Alien Ant Farm. In their place will be multi-platinum nü-metallers Drowning Pool. Tensions between CKY vocalist/guitarist Chad I Ginsburg and Alien Ant Farm vocalist Dryden Mitchell came to a head earlier this month when Ginsburg punched Mitchell in the face.
Per Mitchell‘s side of the story, the physical altercation transpired after weeks of Ginsburg demonstrating mentally abusive and disruptive behavior on CKY‘s European/UK tour with Alien Ant Farm. Mitchell claimed that upon staging a meeting with Ginsburg to address the matter, the aforementioned punch was thrown.
CKY were ejected from the bill as a result, with Ginsburg later claiming on social media that Mitchell was “charging” at him prior to the punch. Prior to the fracas, Alien Ant Farm and CKY were booked to follow-up that ill-fated trek with a run of Australia and New Zealand in early 2025.
Today, November 19th, it was confirmed that CKY will no longer be taking part. Dates for the overhauled bill include:
02/03 Wellington, NZ – Meow Nui
02/05 Auckland, NZ – Victoria Park

02/08 Sydney, AUS – The Metro
