Dead Icarus released their debut album “Zealot” today, pairing it with the below music video for the title track. Director David Brodsky (Cattle Decapitation, The Black Dahlia Murder) was once again behind the camera for this latest visual output from the group.
Dead Icarus is a union of several familiar faces from the metalcore and deathcore scenes, with their roster featuring ex-Atreyu vocalist Alex Varkatzas, along with Enterprise Earth‘s Gabe Mangold (guitars) and Whitechapel‘s Brandon Zackey (drums). Speaking of the album itself, the group offered:
“’Zealot‘ is the culmination of our unyielding ,fanatical, belief. We set out to create a dynamic, multi-faceted record that incorporated everything we love about music. It’s heavy, it’s melodic, it’s angry, it’s hopeful, it has riffs and hooks but above all it’s sincere and comes purely from our heart and minds. No outside interference .
