Paradise Slaves have shared a lyric video for their debut single “A Fever To Defeat“. That outfit are fronted by ex-36 Crazyfists vocalist Brock Lindow, but he’s not the only potential familiar face in the lineup. Joining him are guitarist Tyler Stroetzel, as well as Diecast vets Jon Kita (guitar) and Brad Horion (basist). Drummer Ryan Manning (Pentagram, Blitzkid) completes the roster.

Stroetzel is the brother of Joel Stroetzel, guitarist for multi-platinum metalcore outfit Killswitch Engage. It was a text sent by Joel to Brock on behalf of Tyler that got the ball rolling for this group. As the lineup fell into place, they entered Tin Bridge Studios to lay down their debut album for Spinefarm Records. A 2025 release is expected for that with more details still to come.

Speaking of how the group’s beginnings amid the pandemic, Lindow offered:

“This band is something I didn’t expect. After it fell in my lap, I was making new music with new people and we became brothers, and for that, I’m so grateful. When you get a gift like this, you need to put your best foot forward and have some fire. I definitely still have the same fire and love for making music I always had and it manifests in Paradise Slaves.”

As for this first single, Lindow stated, “It’s specifically about COVID. It was written at the height of the pandemic.”
