Corey Taylor, the outspoken vocalist for multi-platinum masked metal outfit Slipknot and more, has made a slight alteration to his latest getup. Earlier this year, the lauded Iowan band rolled out a new assortment of masks and jumpsuits, which tied heavily into their ongoing 25th anniversary touring on their 2x multi-platinum 1999 self-titled album.
While Taylor‘s latest mask is a clear throwback to the dreadlock-adorned monstrosity he wore back on the self-titled album cycle, he has seemingly made an new alteration to it, adding red led eyes. The mask reveal looks to have came about during yesterday’s (October 19th) opening date of the ‘Knotfest Brasil‘ at the Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil. However, it doesn’t appear that the effect was utilized throughout the entire performance.
That set also saw the band straying from their self-titled album performances, instead serving up a spread of songs from throughout their catalog. A second performance will be held tonight at the same venue, presumably with the more standard 25th anniversary set the band have been playing recently.
Last night’s setlist ran as follows:
“(sic)”
“Eyeless”
“Wait And Bleed”
“Before I Forget”
“Disasterpiece”
“Psychosocial”
“The Devil In I”
“The Heretic Anthem”
“Unsainted”
“Custer”
“Prosthetics”
“Vermilion”
“Duality”
“Spit It Out”
“Surfacing”

Clear round plastic with red lights inside that are placed on the inside part of the eye opening of the mask – you’re close, think like flexible plastic glasses or almost like those suctions for a shower caddy https://t.co/2t5EjKs6mU
