Bloodletter have released a cover of The Black Dahlia Murder‘s 2003 cut “Elder Misantrophy“. The Chicago, IL-based melodic thrashers said of their rendition:
“We love the Black Dahlia Murder, they’ve been a massive influence on our band since day one. When we lost Trevor Strnad, we decided to do a cover of the song Elder Misanthropy and play it live at a few shows. We wanted to go a bit further with our cover though and we decided that for every sale of the cover we would donate 100% of the proceeds to the NSPL group. Trevor‘s passing was a huge loss for the metal community worldwide, and this is our way of helping pay tribute to a legend. RIP Trevor, Long live The Black Dahlia Murder!”
As mentioned by the band above, all proceeds will go towards 988lifeline.org. The Black Dahlia Murder vocalist Trevor Strnad passed away on May 11th of 2022. While his cause of death was not revealed, official statements issued by his bandmates included mentions of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
