Claudio Sanchez, vocalist/guitarist for gold-certified prog metal band Coheed And Cambria, etc., has shared his cover of The Smashing Pumpkins‘ “Stumbleine“. That track first appeared on The Smashing Pumpkins‘s diamond-certified 1995 double album, “Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness“.
Sanchez said of his rendition:
“There aren’t many albums that have a connection to a season of the year for me quite like Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness by Smashing Pumpkins. In Autumn, I always give the record a listen and I’m reminded of the day it was released, a day I spent painting a mural on a storefront in Nyack, NY for my high school art class. I listened repeatedly while painting the creature I had mapped out in my proposal. I never tired of listening to it; the record was artistically inspiring, but in a different way, leading my imagination away from the window where I never finished the mural…
