Sol Invicto‘s first official EP “Loosely Aware” is on track for a November 08th release date. Among the roster for that long gestating project is Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter, Cypress Hill percussionist Eric Bobo, and producer/guitarist Richie Londres.
Speaking briefly on this new output from the internationally based collective, the band stated, “It’s been quite the journey to get this to the people, just a taste of what’s to come.”
“The Obvious Play” is the first to make it out of the three tracks featured on that EP. This cut boasts guest vocals from Plague To Pyres vocalist Sean Plague. That group are also signed to Londres & Carpenter‘s Omyac Records. Londres himself is a member of that ‘djaunt’ band.
As for further outside assistance, SikTh drummer Dan Foord was brought in to handle the traditional studio drumming on this new EP. Sol Invicto are also laying plans to begin tracking a full-length album later in the year, presumably with a 2025 release planned.
