‘Djaunt’ Band Plague To Pyres To Issue New EP Through Label Run By Deftones’ Stephen Carpenter & More

Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter‘s label venture Omyac Records has more new output on the horizon. The Norwegian/British outfit Plague To Pyres have aligned themselves with that label venture, which is co-helmed by Carpenter‘s Sol Invicto bandmate Richie Londres, as well as thekeenone.

The self-described ‘djaunt metal’ group have already issued two EPs through that label venture, with a third, “Erase Your Light – Lost Sessions“, due out on June 14th on most digital service providers. It is currently streaming now via Bandcamp.

This approaching EP sports four previously unreleased tracks from past sessions, with the band having the following to say about that:

“We had a bunch of tracks in production but lost all the sessions, we had thought about tracking them again but Stephen & Richie wanted us to put them out as they are and focus on the debut album, so in true DIY fashion we gave them a quick master and here they are.”

The EP should tide fans over until the arrival of the group’s forthcoming debut album, which they will begin tracking this summer. Among the quintet’s lineup is Londres himself, who contributes guitars, FX and keys. Each member of the group has taken on the surname of Plague, with vocalist Sean, drummer Fredrik, guitarist Emilio and bassist Grant completing the roster.
