Periphery drummer Matt Halpern has been forced to sit out the band’s Australian touring in light of recently welcoming his second child into the world. The tour will proceed as planned next month however, with David Parkes of I Built The Sky taking fill in for the trek.

Halpern issued the following video statement on that:

Periphery will be out next month on the ‘Monolith Festival‘ alongside Coheed And Cambria, Leprous, Intervals, Novelists & Silent Fang.

11/02 Brisbane, AUS – Fortitude Music Hall
11/09 Melbourne, AUS – PICA
11/10 Sydney, AUS – Hordern Pavilion (no Silent Fang)

They’ve also lined up the following headlining shows on the side with Reliqa and Crooked Royals:

11/05 Canberra, AUS – The Basement
11/06 Melbourne, AUS – Max Watts
