Following its live debut last weekend in Hamburg, Germany, Linkin Park have now unveiled the studio version of “Heavy Is The Crown” as the second single from their comeback album, “From Zero“. That effort features the band’s newly reconfigured lineup, which finds new additions in vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.
The song has also been chosen as this year’s anthem for the annual Worlds event for the popular MOBA video game ‘League Of Legends‘. As such, it’s official music video ties into the lore and professional gaming scene surrounding that game. An official press release stated of the clip:
‘The 2024 Worlds Music Video envisions renowned League of Legends pro player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok as a newly crowned king as he battles a legion of aspiring rulers who arrive on his doorstep. Through the story of a warrior fighting to protect a kingdom under siege, the video honors Faker and T1’s victory at Worlds 2023 while embodying the powerful spirit of League players. It also celebrates the rich history of kingdoms and dynasties in London, where the Worlds Finals will take place on November 2, 2024.’
Outside of this new single, the returning diamond-certified nü-metal/alternative rock stars have also expanded their world touring plans with the addition of shows in Paris, Dallas and São Paulo.
