Ulver have presented a pair of tracks which they completed just prior to last month’s passing of their keyboardist Tore Ylwizaker. These songs, “Locusts” and “Nocturne #2“, are the latest entries in a collection of singles which will eventually be released as a full-length album. Two more tracks are planned to complete that set from the black metal turned ambient experimentalists. The group commented of their plans today, September 20th:
“Last month, right before Tore‘s passing, we finished two pieces which you can hear now, on digital platforms, for our yet unnamed new album. We have to carry on howling, as said, no matter how wrong it feels. Our church is music. We will conclude with two more pieces and a pre-order for the physical release (LP/CD) via House of Mythology sometime this fall. Everything falls. Count your blessings. Ulver xx”
