100 Demons vocalist Peter Morcey shared the sad news on Instagram this morning (August 20th) of the death of the band’s bassist Erik Barrett. Morcey had the following to say of his fallen bandmate:
“When I received the news yesterday it felt as if all time came to a standstill. It was the last thing I was expecting to hear, especially just a couple days after losing a mutual friend of ours. I’m posting this to let you all know that Erik Barrett has left this world, and we are all devastated. A true friend, brother and bandmate..gone in the blink of an eye.
We had some big things in the works this year my friend. I was so happy you were back in the band playing with us again. I wish I knew what was going on in your head. I know I could have made a difference. You left behind so many people who loved you…..your family, your friends, your girlfriend and bandmates are in shock. I haven’t slept all night bc my mind was flooded with every memory of our history together. We would have done anything and everything for you.
