Armored Saint went out of their way to make sure a cancer-stricken fan of theirs enjoyed their time at the group’s August 09th show at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, Netherlands. A concertoger identified as Frank suffering from stage 4 cancer attended the band’s show on a stretcher, fulfilling one of the remaining items on his bucket list.
John Bush, vocalist for the heavy metal vets, headed out into the audience to perform the group’s 1985 track “Aftermath” directly to Frank. The band commented:
“A huge ARMORED SAINT fan named Frank showed up at our gig in Amsterdam in a hospital bed. Believe it or not, he was transferred by ambulance. We quickly found out that Frank has stage 4 cancer and only has a little time left to live. One of his last wishes was to see Armored Saint live.
We all got to meet him and speak w him for a bit while we took this photo.
During the song “Aftermath” John went into the crowd and sang the song to him and he looked so happy. It was a tear jerker for sure, and tough to get thru the song without losing it.
Safe travels Frank. It was a pleasure meeting you.”
