Today, July 12th, marks the 30th anniversary of 311‘s gold-certified sophomore album, “Grassroots“. In honor of that milestone, the multi-platinum rap rockers will be giving the record a newly expanded release on August 23rd.
The record has been remastered by Joe Gastwirt from the original tapes for this release, which will also feature five pre-production demos. This will mark the first time the latter demos have been available on vinyl. Several colored variants are available, with the effort housed in Pearlized album art.

“This is the 2nd installment of the Pearlized album art series celebrating the 30th Anniversary of our album ‘Grassroots‘. ‘Grassroots‘ was our sophomore record released in 1994. The recording process had its fair share of setbacks and problems but we persevered and put out an eclectic blend of Rock, Rap, Fusion, Jazz, Funk and Reggae. These were some memorable times and we are happy and proud to put out this new version mastered by Joe Gastwirt with extra tracks never released on vinyl before. We hope you enjoy from top to bottom!”
