It would appear there have been some snags in the Ill Niño camp. Per an official press release sent out early last month, the Latin music-influenced nü-metal outfit were scheduled to launch the first half of their two-volume “IllMortals” EP series last Saturday, June 28th.
What’s more, that initial volume of the set was to be preceded by the June 21st launch of a new single, “Beast Inside“. Neither of those offerings materialized, leading to some fans venting their confusion and frustration on the band’s social media.
As of press time, the group, who wound down a tour with Flaw, A Killer’s Confession and more last week, don’t appear to have publicly addressed the missing music. There doesn’t appear to have been any explanation by their label Art Is War Records either. It remains to be seen if this delay will impact the planned July 26th release date the group announced for the second volume of “IllMortals“.
A post shared yesterday (July 01st) by Ill Niño ringleader Dave Chavarri mentioned that both the EPs and music video are apparently still on deck, but made no mention of their current absence.
