Dark Sky Burial, the side project of Napalm Death bassist/vocalist Shane Embury, will be digitally issuing a new album titled “Solve Et Coagula” on July 18th. Embury commented of this closing chapter of his ‘Maze’ quadrilogy:
“Four is the number of wholeness…So maybe I am symbolizing my desire for personal wholeness through the album’s journey? From prehistoric times, the number four was employed to signify what was solid, what could be touched and felt. Its relationship to the cross (four points) made it an outstanding symbol of wholeness and universality, a symbol which drew all to itself.”
Four of the featured tracks on this outing date back to 2005 writing collaborations with Sigh‘s Mirai Kawashima.
