Amorphis have issued a live video for their song “Black Winter Day“. The included performance comes from the band’s forthcoming “Tales From The Thousand Lakes (Live At Tavastia)” album, which found the Finnish progressive metallers celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1994 sophomore album , “Tales From The Thousand Lakes“.

Bassist Pekka Laine commented:

“Back in 1994, ‘Black Winter Day‘ was a somewhat different song among the other ‘Tales…’ material. Being propably the first Death Metal song with a waltz time signature and a Moog-synthesizer, it truly stood out at the time. Three decades later, ‘Black Winter Day‘ still resonates with the Metal audiences around the globe and plays a crucial role in the saga of Amorphis!”

The aforementioned live set was captured at Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland. It will be released on July 12th through Reigning Phoenix Music.
