Slayer's "South Of Heaven' Igloo Cooler

New Slayer “South Of Heaven” Igloo Cooler Available

Last year saw then defunct thrash metal legends Slayer celebrating the ‘International Day Of Slayer‘ (June 06th) with the release of coolers and associated merchandise with Igloo Coolers. This year finds the somewhat reunited outfit back with another offering, the latest featuring the album art from the band’s gold-certified 1988 effort, “South Of Heaven“.

Jon Sinko, who serves as the global VP of partnerships and licensing at Igloo stated:

“I’ve been a big fan of Slayer since the late ’80s, having seen them live as early as 1991 at MSG in New York City up through their final tour in 2018. Like many other fans, it’s hard to say which record is better, ‘Reign In Blood‘ or ‘South Of Heaven‘.

Last year, we launched our Igloo partnership with the band by releasing a ‘Reign In Blood‘-focused collection. So, this year, it only made sense for us to balance things out with a ‘South Of Heaven‘ album art embellished all-black KoolTunes, which launches today on Then, we’re releasing a broader collection in early August, including brand-new Slayer 16-ounce stainless steel cans, a novelty softside cooler and fresh inventory of last year’s bestsellers.”

You can get your hands on this latest offering via As for this August’s upcoming offerings, a “Reign In Blood” 6-can wearable sling cooler bag ($34.99) is being prepared, while 16-ounce stainless steel insulated cans separately adorned with artwork from “Reign In Blood“, “South Of Heaven” or a graveyard design ($19.99) will also be made available.

Slayer put a cap on their career back in 2019 after wrapping up a farewell world tour. That retirement lasted until this year, when the outfit announced that they would be returning to the stage for a limited series of festival engagements this fall. Those shows include:

09/22 Chicago, IL – Riot Fest
09/27 Louisville, KY – Louder Than Life
10/10 Sacramento, CA – Aftershock
