Body Void have dropped off their trek with headliners Liturgy, and not without some confusion. A statement shared yesterday, June 05th, by the doom metal group reads as follows:
Hey, we’ve decided to drop off our remaining tour dates. Very sorry to everyone that was excited to see us. We will make these cities up asap. Thanks to everyone who came out see to us this last week 🙏❤️

While that post seemed relatively innocuous, it received a pair of public responses from Liturgy, which seemed to suggest that they were not apprised of the situation prior:
Why are you dropping off the tour? Without even giving me a dall https://t.co/Es81EhmD7d

The two groups had been out on the road since May 30th with the tour scheduled to run through to June 15th. Speculation has emerged that Liturgy‘s Hunter Hunt-Hendrix‘s religious takes on X shared on June 03rd as being a possible cause for Body Void‘s unplanned exit.
Said post is but one in a string made by Hunt-Hendrix regarding religion, philosophy and social issues in recent days that have pushed some buttons. However, no clarification regarding Body Void‘s decision to exit was offered.
According to Hunt-Hendrix, Body Void‘s departure apparently presented some issues, with a subsequent show being affected and nearly being cancelled. While things were eventually resolved, Liturgy‘s guarantee was allegedly nearly revoked.
Ok I deleted the previous post – our Cincinnati show is officially Back On so please do show up. Thank you for your support everyone pic.twitter.com/ze8a2GT2LR

As for the speculation circulating around the tour, Hunt-Hendrix seemingly brushed it off:
