A live video for Amorphis‘ “Drowned Maid” has been shared online. The footage/performance comes from the Finnish progressive metal band’s new live album, “Tales From The Thousand Lakes (Live At Tavastia)“. The outing celebrates the 30th anniversary of the group’s 1994 sophomore album “Tales From The Thousand Lakes“.
Bassist Olli-Pekka Laine offered:
“‘Drowned Maid‘ is classic ’90s crossover Amorphis. Retrospectively, sporting primitive keyboards and sound effects, the marriage of doomy death metal and folk-prog somehow does the trick. This song was a live favorite back then, and it’s still a pleasure to play it to this day!”
Pre-orders for this twelve song set, which features live performances of all the album’s tracks and two bonus cuts, can be found through amorphis.rpm.link/taleslivePR. Blu-ray/CD, vinyl and digital formats are planned with a July 12th release date set through Reigning Phoenix Music.
