Some kudos are in order for Deftones, Crosses, etc. vocalist Chino Moreno and his wife Risa, as well as several other parties. The couple recently adopted a rescue dog that had previously been advised to be euthanized by a veterinarian after suffering a severe anal prolapse.

That dog, Scarlett, was ultimately rescued and fostered by The Pug Queen Foundation out of Los Angeles, CA, who saw to it that Scarlett was given proper surgery and later fostered, before ultimately find a new home with the Morenos. The latter couple’s family already includes two separate dogs, Tito and Sasha.

Two posts were shared regarding the heartwarming tale, you can find them below. The Pug Queen stated in one of those posts:

“CONGRATULATIONS TO MISS SCARLETT! ❤️

She was just adopted by Chino Moreno @chinowmoreno the lead singer of the DEFTONES @deftones & CROSSES @crossesmusic, and his fantastic wife Risa @risamoramoreno!

This little girl was dropped off at a shelter with a severe anal prolapse after a vet told her owners to euthanize her. We quickly scooped her up & rushed her to the ER where she had surgery & spent many days recovering. Mary @mary.dolan.92372 then fostered her as she healed. When Risa applied to adopt her I denied her initially because Scarlett was having complications. But as she grew, everything healed and I let Risa know Scarlett was now ready! They watched videos of her on Mary’s page & fell in love. Since Chino & his band Crosses are on tour here, they came to meet her & took her home – to the tour bus – today!

THANK YOU Risa for your patience & kindness, thank you & Chino for choosing to ADOPT yet another fur kid & not buy from a breeder! I hope Tito (Pug Mix brother) & Sasha accept her into the pack!

Thank you Mary for fostering Scarlett! I know she was a rambunctious puppy! 😜 Thank you Marsha for reaching out to me when her life was in danger! Thank YOU all for donations which helped us save her life. Look where she is now! You made it possible!

Good luck Miss Scarlett! Have fun on tour & be safe little girl! Bart & I look forward to the Crosses show tonight @ the Palladium!

Welcome to The Pug Queen Family Risa & Chino!

🙏❤️🐾🐾”
