Menacing powerviolence/grind band Full Of Hell have pulled the wraps off of their sixth studio album, “Coagulated Bliss“. An April 26th release date has been scheduled for it through Closed Casket Activities. Eric Richter (Lorna Shore, Knocked Loose) was tasked with directing the below video for the album’s lead single, “Doors To Mental Agony“.
Vocalist/programmer, etc. Dylan Walker commented of this cut:
“In this life there are many doors. Rural America exists in a vacuum with its own mundane horrors and dead ends. Every person you know will stumble through one of these doors at some point, falling into mistakes that can’t be undone. Look on reality and weep.”
Recording sessions for the album took place with Kevin Bernstein at Developing Nations in Baltimore, Maryland. The mixing duties were passed on to Twitching Tongues guitarist Taylor Young at his The Pit Recording Studio in Van Nuys, CA. Nick Townsend went on the master the outing.
Speaking on the album, which was inspired by the ‘horrors’ of small town America, and it’s title, Walker added:
“Your happiness is just out of reach and you don’t know why. Too much of this bliss, you think you’ve found your endpoint, but it’s really just this small, tiny, little thing that’s going to ruin your fucking life. And that could be anything.”
Guitarist/programmer Spencer Hazard expanded on that, offering:
“The American dream is small towns. But anyone that’s grown up in a small town realizes it’s just as fucked up in a small town as it is in a big city—if not more, because it’s more condensed.”
Walker later said of the scope of the record, “We’ve shed any kind of ‘do we belong in this space, what do people expect of us. The joy is in the pursuit.”
