Bring Me The Horizon Win Their First-Ever BRIT Award, Comment On New Album Progress

Alternative metal stars Bring Me The Horizon took home their first-ever BRIT Award last night, March 02nd. The group won the ‘Best Alternative/Rock Act’, beating out fellow nominees, The Rolling Stones, Blur, Young Fathers and Yussef Dayes.

In other news, speaking with NME at last night’s awards ceremony at the O2 Arena In London, England, the band revealed their current progress with their previously delayed new album “Post Human: NeX GEn“. Drummer Matt Nicholls commented:

“It’s not quite finished, but it’s closer than it has ever been. We came back off tour and built a studio in Sheffield and, yeah, just cracked on, got our heads down and everyone pulled together. And, yeah, we’re getting there…”

Vocalist Oli Sykes added:

“Every time we think we’ve got it, we get another song, and it’s, like, ‘Oh.’ It’s gonna be very good though. It’s like the best album ever. So it’ll be worth the wait.”
